How do you uninstall a program when the uninstall feature itself is corrupted?

When you click Start menu>Program List>Some Program>Uninstall Some Program, you find the uninstall feature doesn’t react as you supposed no matter how many times you click. That’s it, the uninstall feature itself goes corrupted!

How do you uninstall the corrupted program that annoyed you so much at this moment?

First of all,  have a try with the Add/Remove Applet from Control Panel, unfortunately, you may find the  program to uninstall doesn’t display on this list. Even if it shows up on this list, you click Delete but do a good job smoothly, for Add/Remove Applet can’t uninstall a corrupted program perfectly.

Uninstall a program means that you should remove the install package, files and registry information from your PC once for all. As the program to uninstall its own uninstall feature is corrupted, here are some tips for you to out of trouble!

Delete Manually and Edit Registry

  1. Navigate to the install package of the program to uninstall, such as C: Program Files\Adobe, right click this folder and choose “delete” to remove this folder.
  2. Delete the icon related from the desktop and Program List.
  3. Click Start from the left bottom of your desktop, click Run.Enter” regedit” on the blank, and click OK.
  4. Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE to check whether there is registry information related to the program you want to uninstall exists.


 5.   If you find,  right click the folder and choose Delete to remove it.

Uninstall with Perfect Uninstaller

When a program is corrupted, most uninstallers can’t manage to uninstall it completely without a slice left. However, Perfect Uninstaller, which is featured at uninstalling any corrupted program, can uninstall it completely as a piece of cake.

  1. Download and install Perfect Uninstaller.
  2. Close all the process related to both the program to uninstall and Perfect Uninstaller.
  3. Navigate to the directory where you locate the install package of this program, such as, C: Program Files\Adobe
  4. Right click this folder and choose “Force Uninstall” from the right-click menu, Perfect Uninstaller launches.
  5. Wait for the scanning of the related files, click Next to follow the pop-up to remove the drivers, files and registry information gradually.
  6. Restart your PC, the corrupted program has gone.
